CIALIS – a step forward in treating erectile disfunction

Cialis is the name of the drug containing tadalafil, which is  the selectively reversible active component of the drug inhibits cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) – specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5). During sexual stimulation the local release of nitric oxide is marked, while the specific inhibition of type 5 phosphodiesterase activity leads to an increase in the level of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum. Tadalafil works decreasing the tone of smooth muscles and increasing blood flow to the tissues of the penis, which contributes to improve erection.

Cialis, is often known as “The Weekend Pill” due to its long duration of action.

Cialis contains tadalafil, which is clinically known as an inhibitor; Tadalafil inhibits the enzyme responsible for the regular flow of blood to the penis during erection.

Numerous factors can contribute to the onset of erectile dysfunction, including lifestyle, mental health and various chronic diseases. Nervous or emotional problems such as anxiety about good sexual performance can further worsen the disease and further inhibit sexual desire.

Occasional treatment with a PDE5 inhibitor like Cialis can be quite effective in breaking the cycle of performance anxiety. Lifestyle factors such as smoking, drug use, or high alcohol consumption can have a major impact on one’s sexual vigor, although erectile dysfunction can sometimes be a symptom of other health problems in such as diabetes or heart disease.
